My Story – How I Got Started
I started as an agent in May of 2020. Yes, in the middle of the pandemic! I might be a little bit crazy. Haha! But in October of 2019, I had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and had been off work on FMLA since then. Chemo had pretty much quarantined me since right after Christmas that year! I was bored! I started this blog, which kept me occupied until around March of 2020.
The day I was to return to work, was the day the world shut down. I had to cancel a spring break trip, which was a nightmare, and I knew there had to be a better way. A friend online had mentioned this Travel Agent thing, so I thought, why not?!? I have all kinds of time right now. My first trip I booked as an agent came with an upgrade when we arrived that was so significant, the savings alone covered my overhead for the whole year!
I kept seeing the benefits (okay also the money) from bookings, and I knew I had to share it with others. In December, I got my affiliate link to help others get their businesses started. Do I need a travel background and/or experience?
No! All training is included, and we support total beginners as well as travel lovers. The minute you join you’re given access to our extensive, world class travel academy, accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, where you will become a certified Travel Agent. Plus, you have access to ongoing FREE training with our suppliers, as well as constant in house company training. You can also take advantage of our specialist courses to become a group specialist, a honeymoon or weddings specialist, a safari specialist and so much more!
Can I do this with a full-time job or family commitments?
Absolutely! That is exactly what I do! This business is flexible and designed to fit into your lifestyle – not the other way around.
How do I earn money?
We actually have 8 ways of earning an income. In addition to earning travel commissions on absolutely everything you book, we also have the optional referral system where you can share the best kept travel secret!
What can I book?
You can book every type of holiday from budget to luxury and beyond. Book as a package or as separate components such as flights, hotels, spa breaks,
staycations, cruises, airport parking and lounges, attraction and theme park tickets, guided tours, weddings and honeymoons, rental cars – even concerts and sporting event tickets worldwide.
Are there any targets or quotas to meet?
NO! It’s your business, so you work it your way! You can book as much or as little travel as you’d like, and complete your training at your own pace around all of your other commitments. You’re not tied into any contracts, and if you want to cancel at anytime you can.
How do clients pay for their bookings?
Payments are made via the client’s credit card, or secure payment links. No cash is ever handled by you directly. But don’t worry we have training and support to show you how to navigate this.
Why do I have to pay?
You are buying a licence to operate as an independent travel agent under a host agency; and you are provided with the tools, systems, training and support you need to set up a home based travel business that allows you to sell travel to others and yourself. As with any business set up, there are start-up costs, and costs to maintain the systems and support you have access to. You could spend thousands to go to college to get a degree and then start your own agency, or you could work with a host agency that is the much less expensive option and it mitigates your risk.
Is there any sort of profit guarantee?
